briefThe project’s mission aims to bring classical music to the Culver City community with fresh and exciting ways at the core of all design elements. The vision for Culver City Chamber Orchestra was to have a clean and minimalistic look that has apparent identifiable qualities. Inspired by the cello, this new design has an elegant quality but still reads as fun and contemporary.

The design explores two main primary colors to create an attention-grabbing opportunity - yellow, creating excitement and blue gradients communicating peace and calm, an atmosphere often tied to the cello. To create contrast the design has created a minimalistic pattern with playful arrangements of different circular shapes. The design calls for a funky, yet modern font called Saint Regus a nd is applied with different styles to highlight text headings and touchpoint titles. I’d like to introduce you to Culver Strings.

concert and events posterThe project brief also calls to re-design their upcoming concerts and events posters. This is to express exciting and contemporary themes, as it will encourage a younger audience to re-think classical music and consider broadening their musical horizons. In the past 24 seasons the orchestra has presented over 68 concerts and performed 50 family concerts. They are proud of their accomplishments and needed designs to announce that they are doing more in the up coming years.  One of this season's highlights was a unique concert entitled "Cello Mania", with 8 outstanding cellists performing classical as well as contemporary and pop music bringing together an audience of diverse musical tastes. “Just for Kids, Just for fun” is a non-profit group with a mission to teach kids ages 10+ about music appreciation and fundamentals, which in the end of each season will result in a children’s concert series.
